Best Time of the Year

*Before I start rambling--I am thinking about buying a food processor, can anyone share recommendations? I want one that has a big enough bowl so that I can make pie dough in it. Thank you :)*

Yes, it IS the best time of the year--Chinatown is flooded with mangoes, especially my favorite ones, the champagne! (also known as ataulfo) I maaaaay have gone overboard the other day when we ran down to Chinatown during lunch. But they are so cheap now! And I also spied some really really tiny mangoes, like the length of my thumb, but I resisted buying those because, well, frankly I couldn't carry anymore.

See? I bought a dozen, and they weighed a ton! I've eaten two so far, and breakfast this morning is a cut up mango and a couple of Jules Destrooper ginger thins (my latest obsession). I've got some good ideas for what to do with these after I'm tired of eating them plain (hah!) so stay tuned.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Your breakfast was this yesterday, great!
I barely eat mangoes since I can't get a tasty one in my place. So you're lucky!
You really love fruits and cookies, I also love though.
Looking forward to your mango cooking. How about a mango bento!? HAHA (You already did it...^^)

Babykins, how about a bento that's ALL mango...hehe. I wish I could send you some! I think I have too many now. I love fruit but I'm trying to eat fewer cookies :D

I completely adore mangoes as well. Can never get enough of them so I can't wait to see what you got up to with them!

Anyway I use a Kenwood processor. It came with a juicer, slicer and blender attachment. Works great so far and can hold up to 4 cups of liquid which should be large enough for dough. Hope that helps! :)

Hey, coffeesnob! I'm being persuaded to make mango cheesecake, hehe (by people who won't be around to eat it, sheesh!)...we'll see! Right now I'm still just enjoying eating them plain :D

It might be my google-fu failing me, but I don't know if Kenwood food processors can be found here! Thank you for reminding me though that there are dual processors/blenders, that sounds really useful.
